      Welcome to the FUTURE

                      Phoenixville Bike Park, PA!

The Phoenixville Bike Park will offer three different trails to ride: A beginner-friendly flow-inspired trail, an intermediate trail with approachable features and go-arounds, and an advanced rider trail offering more challenging features and opportunity for skill development!

...from balance bikes to mountain bikes, BMX bikes and dirt jumpers, there will be something for everyone. Whether you're 18 months old or 118 years young, all riders will have easy and FREE access to the skills park.

Our Skills Park and the three distinct loops will offer trails with a combination of  "Rollers", "Double Rollers "Berms"  "Bridges", "Drops",  and "Kickers" (did we mention a "Whale Tail" and a "Wall Ride" on the Advanced Track?) making for hours of outdoor fun for families, kids, and grownups!

UPDATED!  11/27/2022:   We are a few thousand dollars away from our goal of $121,500.00 and

with a tentative mid-November 2022 build start for Phase 1: Earth Work.
Phase 2 will happen in March of 2023 to install the fabricated features. A Ribbon Cutting should be expected for Mid-March!

"Why is this taking longer than MKOB said it would?"
What folks don't see is that there is a ton of moving parts, conversations, agreements, negotiations and "legaleze" that happens behind the scenes.
If it were easy, there would be bike parks, skate parks, parkour courses etc all over all of the communities!
But, it's a process.
& the time it takes to do this right, is 110% necessary.

MKOB is a 501 c3 nonprofit entity. MKOB is raising money for a public park improvement. The bike park is being built by a company.  The bike park once built will be dedicated to the Borough of Phoenixville via the Phoenixville Parks and Recreation Department.
This Phoenixville Bike Park
is being built for the people by the people.

..Why? To get MORE KIDS ON BIKES and Keep Them There!

Children enjoy a fun place to ride. Actually, we all do! A bike space away from busy streets in a place made for them. Safely tucked into Reservoir Park in Phoenixville, the skills park is easily accessible to folks living in town and across the region! For locals, it's conveniently located on the north side of Phoenixville, accessible by sidewalks, or by street. The Reservoir Park is located directly across the street from the new Recreation Center and catty-cornered to the Renaissance Academy on Fillmore St. The park is adjacent to several neighborhood developments, and rests just a half of a mile from the Schuylkill River Trail access points and trailheads. This new space will be situated next to the Reservoir Dog Park, with ample parking.

***The Schuylkill River Trail, is a multi-use trail which will eventually run 140 miles, currently winds itself from Parker Ford all the way to Philadelphia. With spurs to Black Rock Sanctuary, the Perkiomen Trail, Valley Forge Park and beyond, The "SRT" makes for a splendid bike-way to and from the skills park!

The Future Looks Bright!

The future Reservoir Park MTB Skills Park will be enjoyed as a casual recreation space for the community, and it will serve as a practice area for the Phoenixville Inferno and other visiting NICA/PICL Teams. Additional planned events include bike clinics and youth bike programs. Its a space where grown-ups can teach their children the basics of biking and hone their own skills before hitting the adjacent single-track!

It will be a place for friends to gather, laughter to be heard, and accomplishments to be achieved!

Fun, fitness, family and friends... what better way to spend a day?

More Kids On Bikes 501 (c) (3) Is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to get more kids on bikes!

Our primary focus is to support and expand youth mountain biking.

We believe mountain biking is an exciting lifetime activity, that not only offers an opportunity for physical exercise, but also supports mental and emotional wellbeing.

Two primary ways we engage our community is through Phoenixville Inferno Youth Mountain Bike Team (NICA/PICL) and community based Trail Maintenance. These two programs have brought us to this current project!

We at M.K.O.B. are dedicated to supporting the vision to create a MTB Skills Park at Reservoir Park!
We are thrilled to be able to help lead the fundraising initiatives needed to make the The future Reservoir Mountain Bike Skills Park, a reality!

We at M.K.O.B. believe mountain biking is more than just a recreational activity, or a hobby. It's a sport that brings people together! Wether the individual or the team, mountain biking helps build self-confidence, teaches perseverance, develops and nurtures the value of personal goal-setting, strengthens leadership skills, and highlights the importance of understanding team building dynamics.

Our mountain bike communities also focus on educating our riders on the importance of proper trail riding etiquette, natural resource stewardship, and service opportunities (like trail maintenance, coaching).

We pride ourselves on reinforcing bike safety measures, providing group riding opportunities and local partnerships.

We are a community of inclusion. Mountain biking (no matter how cold it is outside) is a place of warmth and welcome to all! We strive to be a space for all with an emphasis on equity, equality, safety, access and community.
